Brillio Technologies - Senior Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

Job Description :

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise network and security infrastructure.

You will work closely with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to ensure network availability, performance, and security.

The role requires deep hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewall, network security controls, routing and switching, VPN, NAT, network segmentation, and enterprise connectivity.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.

- Provide expert-level support for Palo Alto Firewalls, including configuration, policy management, troubleshooting, and optimization.

- Configure and manage firewall policies, security zones, NAT, VPN, ACLs, and network segmentation.

- Monitor network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

- Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, routing, switching, firewall, and VPN issues.

- Configure and troubleshoot enterprise routing and switching environments.

- Work with routing protocols and network technologies to ensure reliable connectivity across enterprise environments.

- Implement and maintain secure network architectures aligned with organizational security standards.

- Manage and troubleshoot site-to-site and remote-access VPN connectivity.

- Configure and manage network access controls, security zones, and segmentation policies.

- Support enterprise Wi-Fi/WLAN infrastructure and troubleshoot wireless connectivity issues.

- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to investigate and resolve network security incidents.

- Perform network changes, upgrades, migrations, and configuration activities following change-management processes.

- Analyze network performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

- Maintain network diagrams, configuration documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

- Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities.

- Work with cross-functional infrastructure and application teams to resolve network dependencies and issues.

- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior network engineers.

- Participate in planned maintenance activities and support during critical incidents.

Mandatory Technical Skills :

1. Palo Alto Firewall - Expert :

- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls.

- Experience configuring and managing security policies and firewall rules.

- Strong understanding of: Security Zones, NAT, VPN, ACLs, Network Segmentation, Security Policies.

- Experience troubleshooting firewall traffic and connectivity issues.

- Understanding of firewall logging, monitoring, and policy optimization.

- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with: Access Control Lists (ACL), Network Segmentation, VPN, NAT, Security Zones, Firewall Policies, Secure Network Architecture, Network Access Controls, Network Security Troubleshooting.

2. Routing & Switching - Expert :

- Strong hands-on expertise in enterprise routing and switching.

- Solid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking.

- Experience troubleshooting complex routing and switching issues.

- Strong knowledge of VLANs, subnetting, routing, switching, and high-availability concepts.

- Experience working with enterprise network infrastructure and large-scale environments.

3. Wi-Fi / Wireless Networking :

- Hands-on experience with enterprise Wi-Fi/WLAN environments.

- Ability to troubleshoot wireless connectivity, performance, and authentication issues.

- Understanding of wireless network architecture and security.

4. Added Advantage :

- Arista Networks, Aruba Networks, SD-WAN, Enterprise wireless infrastructure, Network automation and monitoring tools, Cloud networking environments.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Networking, or a related field.

- 7+ years of overall experience in Network Engineering / Network Infrastructure.

- Strong hands-on experience in Palo Alto Firewall administration and troubleshooting.

- Expert-level knowledge of Routing & Switching.

- Strong understanding of enterprise Network Security.

- Experience with VPN, NAT, ACLs, network segmentation, and security zones.

- Experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in a production environment.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with global teams.

Shift & Work Model :

- Shift : EST Shift.

- Working Hours : 5:00 PM IST - 2:00 AM IST.

- Location : Bengaluru.

- Work Model : Hybrid.
