Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer with 5 - 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing scalable and secure cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, deploy, configure, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud environments.
- Work extensively with AWS services including IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and related AWS services.
- Develop and maintain cloud-based solutions using AWS SDKs, APIs, and AWS CLI.
- Configure and manage IAM roles, policies, permissions, users, and authentication/authorization mechanisms following the principle of least privilege.
- Design and maintain VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, network ACLs, Internet/NAT Gateways, and other networking components.
- Manage and optimize EC2 instances, including configuration, monitoring, performance, and availability.
- Implement and manage S3 storage solutions, including access controls, lifecycle policies, encryption, and data management.
- Develop and maintain AWS Lambda functions and serverless applications.
- Design and manage API Gateway integrations and secure REST APIs.
- Use CloudWatch for monitoring, logging, alerting, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
- Develop and maintain backend components using Node.js, preferably integrating them with AWS services.
- Automate repetitive cloud and operational tasks using AWS CLI, SDKs, APIs, and scripting.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, networking, security, and performance-related issues.
- Analyze existing cloud solutions and identify opportunities for cost optimization, performance improvement, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement cloud security best practices and ensure appropriate access controls and configurations.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions.
- Participate in technical discussions, solution design, code reviews, and architecture improvements.
- Maintain technical documentation related to cloud architecture, configurations, processes, and operational procedures.
- Work with Jira and Confluence for task management, documentation, and project collaboration.
- Use SVN or similar version-control systems for source code and configuration management.
- Stay updated with new AWS services, cloud technologies, and industry best practices and evaluate their applicability to existing solutions.
Technical Skills :
AWS : Strong hands-on experience with IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, AWS CLI, APIs, and SDKs.
Node.js : Strong working knowledge of Node.js for backend development and API integration.
Tools : AWS CLI, AWS SDKs/APIs, SVN, Jira, Confluence, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform/CloudFormation.
Additional Skills : Experience with AWS serverless architecture, cost optimization, networking (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancing), and services like ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge.
Soft Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, good communication, and ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
