Overview :

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer who thrives on architecting and executing migration projects, specifically transitioning codebases from PHP to Python.

The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, improving legacy systems, and working collaboratively in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Participate in migrating existing PHP applications to Python, ensuring functionality, performance, and scalability.

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Python.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, QA, and DevOps, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

- Analyze existing PHP codebases to define migration strategies and identify potential challenges.

- Develop and execute tests to ensure successful migration with minimal disruption.

- Optimize applications for performance and scalability post-migration.

- Document migration processes and architecture changes for team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors/Master's degree in Computer Science.

- Strong programming experience in PHP with demonstrated ability to understand and work within legacy codebases.

- Proficiency in Python with experience in application development.

- Experience with software migration or refactoring projects.

- Familiarity with database systems, API design, and version control tools (e.g., Git).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborating with diverse teams.

- Good communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).

- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
