Scope :

Blue Yonder Defense Solutions (BYDS) is looking for a versatile and motivated UI Software Engineer to join our team.

You'll primarily be a front-end engineer driving the design and development of user-facing applications, with enough backend experience to integrate with databases and services independently.

You'll collaborate across multiple internal teams - building features, improving UX, and rapidly pivoting to support evolving requirements from different stakeholders.

Expect a fast-moving environment while taking full ownership of delivery requirements.

Technical Stack :

- Primary : React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, MobX, Node.js, HTML/CSS

- Supporting : Electron.js, Android development, Java, SQLite

What You Will Do :

- Build responsive, intuitive UI components using React.js, with a strong focus on user experience.

- Design, develop, and maintain a cross-platform desktop application built with Electron.js.

- Develop and maintain Node.js backend logic and system-level integrations within the desktop application.

- Build and deliver new features for an Android mobile application, working comfortably within the Android development ecosystem.

- Design and manage lightweight local databases using SQLite, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization.

- Collaborate closely with multiple internal teams to analyze feature/story requirements, triage feature requests, and deliver solutions quickly.

- Context-switch effectively between competing priorities and team needs.

- Conduct UX reviews and iterate on interface designs based on user feedback.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

- Work from Pune office.

What We Are Looking For :

- 3 - 6 years of professional software development experience.

- 2+ years of Android development experience using Android Studio.

- Deep experience with React.js - component design, hooks, state management (MobX, Redux, or similar).

- Strong proficiency with Electron.js, including main/renderer process architecture and packaging/distribution.

- Strong working knowledge of Node.js, including building APIs, handling file system operations, and writing clean asynchronous code.

- Hands-on experience with SQLite or other lightweight embedded databases.

- Demonstrated UX/UI design sensibility.

- Comfortable working in an agile, multi-stakeholder environment.

- Strong communication skills.

- Experience with desktop app packaging tools such as Electron Forge or electron-builder.

- Capable Java developer.

- Proficient with Oracle SQL.

- Immediate joiners for Pune location.
