We is building a secure, distributed cloud intelligence platform designed to detect, analyze, and safely remediate infrastructure waste across enterprise cloud environments.
We are not building dashboards or monitoring tools. We are building infrastructure intelligence systems that make safe, explainable, and risk-aware decisions about cloud resources at scale.
About the Role:
We are looking for a senior Infrastructure Product Architect to help define the core intelligence layer of Sleepy Cloud.
This is a part-time role and its ideal for someone with deep experience in cloud systems who wants to contribute at a strategic and product level, not just implementation.
- You will not be writing day-to-day infrastructure code. You will be responsible for :
1. Designing how the system thinks, evaluates, and makes decisions safely.
What You Will Do :
A. Define Infrastructure Intelligence Logic :
- Design multi-signal idle detection models (CPU, network, disk I/O)
- Define confidence scoring frameworks
- Reduce false positives through contextual and pattern-aware logic
- Continuously refine detection accuracy based on real-world scenarios
B. Design Safety & Risk Models :
- Define risk tiers (dev, staging, production)
- Establish safe automation boundaries
- Prevent destructive or unsafe actions in production environments
- Anticipate failure modes and edge cases
C. Guide System Behavior & Architecture :
- Translate product goals into system-level logic
- Define evaluation windows (24h, 72h, etc.)
- Specify telemetry requirements for accurate decision-making
- Collaborate closely with engineering on implementation clarity
D. Improve Explainability & Decision Transparency :
- Define what evidence is required for every decision
- Ensure outputs clearly answer: Why was this resource flagged?
- Shape decision trace and auditability frameworks
E. Anticipate Edge Cases & Real-World Scenarios :
- Cron jobs, batch workloads, intermittent usage
- EFS-backed instances and shared storage
- Auto Scaling Groups and ephemeral workloads
- Any scenario that could cause false positives
What Were Looking For.. Required :
1. 6 to 10+ years of experience in Cloud / Infrastructure / DevOps Engineering
2. Deep hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
3. Strong understanding of :
- EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, EFS
- Production cloud environments
- Infrastructure behavior over time
4. Experience designing (not just operating) cloud systems or automation workflows
5. Strong ability to think in systems, trade-offs, and risk modeling
6. Prior experience working in enterprise or large-scale cloud environments
Strongly Preferred :
1. Experience in FinOps or cloud cost optimization
2. Experience with multi-account AWS environments (Organizations)
3. Background in observability or telemetry systems
4. Experience in early-stage startups or platform teams
5. Exposure to infrastructure automation risks and governance
Why Join :
- Work on a next-generation infrastructure intelligence platform
- Shape core product logic from the ground up
- Solve real-world cloud inefficiency problems at scale
- Operate at the intersection of FinOps, AIOps, and cloud governance
