Role Overview :

We are looking for a Front-End Developer (Next.js) to join our growing team. You'll work closely with our backend and product teams to build and refine the Blue Pigeon web experience - ensuring smooth integration with APIs, Socket.io, and real-time voice features.

What You will Do

- Develop and maintain Blue Pigeon's fast, responsive web application using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.

- Build pixel-perfect, interactive UI components with modern front-end libraries and frameworks.

- Implement smooth animations and transitions using libraries such as Framer Motion, GSAP, or React Spring to enhance the voice-first user experience.

- Integrate APIs and real-time communication using Socket.io for live voice messaging, notifications, and updates.

- Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to ensure seamless UX and functional consistency.

- Write clean, modular, and maintainable code following best practices for scalability and performance.

- Conduct front-end testing using tools like Jest, React Testing Library, or Playwright, ensuring reliability across browsers and devices.

- Optimize page load speed, responsiveness, and SEO for performance-driven applications.

- Debug and troubleshoot issues quickly, ensuring a stable and smooth front-end experience.

- Contribute ideas for improving usability, design consistency, and system efficiency.

Requirements

1. 3+ years of professional front-end development experience.

2. Strong expertise in Next.js, React, and TypeScript.

3. Experience integrating Socket.io and REST APIs.

4. Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and modern front-end best practices.

5. Comfortable working independently and asynchronously in a startup-style environment.

6. Strong communication and accountability.

Bonus Points :

1. Prior experience working at a startup.

2. Previous work on messaging, communication, or real-time collaboration products.

3. Familiarity with WebRTC or voice-related web integrations.
