Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to join our team. As part of a team of system administrators, you will monitor and respond to various customer ticket queues performing event validation, initial root cause analysis followed by prescriptive resolution. In addition, you will perform routine scheduled maintenance activities to ensure the vitality of complex customer environments. Successful candidates will distinguish themselves through accurate event validation and proactive problem solving delivering high level customer support. Successful candidates will be exposed to a broad range of technologies and increasing demanding architectures.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Systems Administration and Support :

- Manage, monitor, and support servers across all environments to ensure availability and performance.

- Troubleshoot issues and provide resolution for support tickets.

- Respond to customer ITSM ticket queues and Interact directly with customer for change management and daily scrums.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory Administration within an Enterprise level architecture.

2. Implementation and Configuration :

- Knowledge of scripting languages (Powershell, Bash, etc..) in common use within Microsoft and Linux OS.

- Provide guidance and support for installations, configurations, upgrades, and patching.

- Collaborate with other IT teams and developers to ensure seamless integration with applications.

3. Security and Compliance :

- Ensure environments are compliant with data security policies and industry standards.

- Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

4. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing :

- Document configurations, procedures, and processes in a clear, concise manner.

- Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to team members to increase cross-functional expertise.

Qualifications :

1. Education and Experience :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Admin, with a strong emphasis on Windows Server solutions.

2. Technical Skills :

- Microsoft Server, with experience in clustering, VMWare and Active Directory.

- Skills in scripting, system optimization, and performance tuning.

- Good understanding and experience with Redhat Linux.

- Hands-on experience with backup and recovery.

- Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP networking.

- Proficiency in monitoring tools and techniques to ensure uptime and performance.

3. Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate technical issues and solutions effectively.

- Detail-oriented, proactive, and well-organized, with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with cloud-based services (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS).

- Familiarity with Ansible.

- Familiarity with SQL databases is a plus.
