BDB (Big Data BizViz) is a unified, low-code data, analytics, and decision-intelligence platform. The BDB Platform brings data pipelines, a medallion lakehouse, a governed semantic layer, data products, and agentic AI analytics together in a single product used by enterprise and government customers across telecom, BFSI, manufacturing, and the public sector. Our global R&D hub is in Bengaluru, and the platform is engineered to run mission-critical, high-volume workloads under an ISO 27001 : 2022-certified operating model.

Role Overview :

As a DevOps Lead, you will own the build, automation, deployment, and reliability of the BDB Platform across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise customer environments. You will lead a small platform-engineering pod, set DevOps standards, and partner with product, data-engineering, and SRE teams to ship a large-scale data and AI platformreal-time pipelines, lakehouse, semantic layer, and agentic analyticsthat runs production workloads for enterprise and government customers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines for BDB Platform microservices and data services, driving fast, safe, and repeatable releases.

- Own the Kubernetes lifecycleprovisioning, scaling, upgrades, hardening, and cost optimisationacross managed cloud (AKS/EKS/GKE) and customer on-prem clusters.

- Codify infrastructure with IaC (AWS CloudFormation/Terraform and Helm) to create auditable, reproducible environments.

- Run cloud infrastructureprimarily Microsoft Azure, with multi-cloud and portability awareness (AWS, GCP, on-prem)spanning compute, networking, storage, and identity.

- Operate and tune the platforms big-data and streaming infrastructure : Spark / PySpark and Ray clusters (BDB Jobs), Kafka / MQTT streaming (BDB Data Pipeline), and lakehouse storage on open table formats (Apache Hudi / Iceberg).

- Build end-to-end observabilitymetrics, logs, traces, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK / Loki, OpenTelemetry)and drive SLOs, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.

- Lead incident and on-call management; run blameless post-mortems and continuous-improvement loops.

- Embed security and compliance into the delivery pipeline aligned to ISO 27001 : 2022secrets management, image and vulnerability scanning, RBAC, least-privilege, and data-residency controls for regulated customers.

- Lead, mentor, and grow a small DevOps / platform-engineering team; review designs and set engineering standards.

- Support enterprise and government production deployments, including data-residency-sensitive and air-gapped / on-prem installs.

Must-Have Skills & Experience :

- 5 to 8 years in DevOps / Platform Engineering / SRE, with at least 2 years leading or mentoring engineers.

- Kubernetes & containersdeep, hands-on production expertise with Kubernetes and Docker.

- Cloud strong Azure experience (AKS, ACR, Azure Monitor, VNets, Key Vault); AWS / GCP a plus.

- IaC & automationTerraform, AWS Cloud Formation and Helm.

- CI/CD toolingGitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo CD or FluxCD.

- Scripting & systemsstrong Python and Bash; solid Linux and networking fundamentals.

- ObservabilityPrometheus / Grafana, ELK / Loki, OpenTelemetry.

- Big-data / streaming opsworking knowledge of Spark and Kafka and how to run them reliably.

- Security-first mindsetfamiliarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks.

Preferred / Nice to Have :

- Experience operating a data platform, lakehouse, or analytics product in production.

- Multi-cloud, hybrid, and on-prem / air-gapped customer deployment experience.

- Certifications : CKA / CKAD, Azure (AZ-104 / AZ-400), or AWS equivalents.

- Regulated-industry (telecom, BFSI, government) deployment experience.

- GitOps (Argo CD / Flux), service mesh, and policy-as-code (OPA) exposure.
