About the Role :

BigStep Technologies is hiring a Technology Lead to drive our product engineering vision.

Youll lead a team of developers while architecting scalable solutions using React.js, Node.js, and Go (Golang).

This is a 70% technical/30% leadership role where youll :

- Make critical architecture decisions

- Mentor engineers and set coding standards

- Collaborate with product/CTO to align tech with business goals

- Hands-on code for complex features/POCs

Key Responsibilities :

- Define tech stack strategy (evaluation/adoption of React, Node, Go, etc.)

- Lead system design for scalability (microservices, APIs, cloud infra)

- Review code and enforce best practices (testing, security, performance)

- Troubleshoot critical path issues

- Conduct technical interviews and build high-performing teams

- Run tech sprints and R&D initiatives

- Foster engineering culture (knowledge sharing, innovation

- Build React.js frontends (TypeScript, Next.js)

- Develop Node.js backend services (Nest.js, Express)

- Implement Go components for high-throughput systems

- Optimize database performance (PostgreSQL/MongoDB)

Must Have :

- Strong proficiency in Node.js for backend service development and integration

- Solid experience with React for building complex, user-focused web applications

- Experience in Go (Golang) for developing backend microservices

- Working knowledge of GraphQL and Apollo Client/Server for modern API architecture

- Hands-on with PostgreSQL for relational data management and PostGIS extensions

- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript for end-to-end development

- Good understanding of testing tools such as Jest, Cypress, and Testing Library

Good to Have :

- Experience with React Native for mobile app development

- Familiarity with Next.js and NestJS for building modular and scalable applications

- Exposure to Kafka for event streaming and asynchronous communication

- Understanding of Temporal for workflow automation

- Experience with Docker for containerized application management

- Knowledge of Redis for caching and session storage

- Familiarity with DataDog for monitoring and performance insights
