BI Engineer

About the Role :

Terralogic is looking for a Data Analyst / SQL Developer with 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in SQL, data analysis, reporting, and data visualization. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to understand data requirements, develop reporting solutions, optimize SQL queries, and provide actionable insights.

The role requires strong expertise in SQL, Advanced Excel, data analysis, reporting, and database concepts, with exposure to Tableau, Salesforce/SFDC or Siebel, VBA, and MS Access being an advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collect functional and application data requirements from customers.

- Create and provide data analysis solutions using SQL, Excel or Microsoft Access.

- Integrate standard methodologies in development, data analysis, data visualisation and process flow.

- Use external databases to create analysis solutions. Create various reports as required. Generate appropriate ad-hoc reporting.

- Organize incoming claims data for effective retrieval. Communicate effectively audit protocol processes. Develop process documentation and departmental procedures.

- Create ad-hoc Excel-based SQL reports and Tableau dashboards for Finance and Sales organizations along with maintaining the existing reports.

- Hands-on experience in SQL query optimization techniques with Github knowledge.

- Perform data analysis to resolve root cause analyses.

- Execution of new assignments and projects collaborating with team members by providing them necessary technical support.

Requirements :

- 3 - 5 years of experience on DDL, DML activities with data analysis.

- Create and maintain documentation for all projects.

- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).

- Data modeling principles and techniques.

- Develop and test views, triggers, and functions.

- Perform quality checks on reports and exports to ensure exceptional quality.

- Develop, maintain and enhance reports, queries, and data exports.

- Provide business users the data required for metrics and analysis.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work on multiple projects and flexibility to change priorities when needed.

- Good in performance tuning, especially tuning complex queries, procedure, and indexing strategies.

- Knowledge of SalesForce.Com or Excel VBA is a plus.

Educational Requirement :

A bachelor's degree is a must.
