The incumbent will focus on Analytics and reporting, utilizing proficiency in various IT Tools and applications to support continuous progress and shape the future of energy.

This role requires expertise in Technical Data Management and ensuring the availability, quality, and structure of data used for critical decision-making.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a dedicated BI Developer to enable the transformation of data into strategic insights, supporting SBM Offshore's true blue transition. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire BI lifecycle, from technical data management and ETL to creating insightful reports and dashboards. Key responsibilities include utilizing IT tools and applications for analytics, supporting inspection, testing, and commissioning data needs, applying management of change principles to BI solutions, and ensuring digital savviness in all reporting outcomes. This role demands strong functional expertise in data structure and visualization.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :

Analytics and Reporting :

- Design, develop, and maintain advanced analytical reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support various business functions (e.g., Engineering, Operations, Finance).

- Translate complex business requirements, often related to Inspection, testing, commissioning and monitoring data, into robust reporting solutions.

- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of reports, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Technical Data Management and Tools :

- Demonstrate proficiency with IT Tools and application relevant to Business Intelligence (e.g., ETL tools, Data Warehousing, Visualization platforms like Power BI/Tableau/Qlik).

- Take ownership of Technical Data Management tasks, including data modeling, data quality checks, and ensuring data lineage within the BI environment.

- Develop and optimize robust ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from disparate sources into the data warehouse or analytical platform.

- Be Digital savvy, applying modern data practices and technologies to improve the efficiency and impact of reporting solutions.

Process and Collaboration :

- Apply Management of change application principles when deploying new BI solutions or modifying critical existing reports, ensuring user adoption and process stability.

- Work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and source system owners to understand data definitions and reporting requirements.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

Core BI : Strong expertise in Analytics and reporting development (dashboards, reports, KPIs).

Data Management : Proficiency in Technical Data Management concepts, including data modeling and ETL/ELT processes.

Tools : Experience with multiple IT Tools and application used in the modern BI landscape (Data Warehousing, SQL, Visualization tools).

Industry Focus : Ability to translate data needs related to Inspection, testing, commissioning and monitoring into analytical solutions (Offshore/Energy context desirable).

Process : Knowledge of Management of change application in IT/BI projects.

Preferred Skills :

- Proficiency with a specific BI Visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

- Advanced SQL query writing and database optimization skills.

- Experience in cloud-based data solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP).

- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data manipulation or automation.
