Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic senior full-stack software engineer to lead our critical product development modernization initiative.

This role is centered on driving the architectural overhaul and successful migration of complex legacy systems to a robust, microservices, and cloud-native architecture.

The successful candidate will serve as a key technical driver, responsible not just for end-to-end development but for defining standards, making critical technology choices, and ensuring the architectural integrity of the new platform.

This includes leveraging deep expertise across our state-of-the-art technology stack : Java 21, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL on the back-end; Angular for responsive, modern user interfaces; and establishing production-grade deployment pipelines using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

This position requires a proven ability to solve complex distributed system challenges, provide technical mentorship to intermediate and junior engineers, and translate strategic business goals into high-quality, scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and develop full-stack solutions using Java 21, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and Angular.

- Drive migration from legacy technologies : JSP, Servlets, Struts, MSSQL, and IBM MQ.

- Mentor junior developers and enforce best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and delivery plans.

- Lead containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Design and deploy scalable services on AWS.

Mandatory Skills :

- 5 to 8 years of full-stack development experience.

- Deep expertise in Java 8 or higher, PostgreSQL, REST API, messaging queue, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Spring Cloud, and microservices.

- Strong front-end skills with Angular 17 or higher.

- Hands-on experience with JSP, Servlet, Struts, and EJB.

- Proven experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

- Hands-on experience with legacy systems and migration strategies.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD, GitOps, and cloud security.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in the banking or financial services domain.

- AWS/Kubernetes certifications.

- Familiarity with observability tools and performance tuning.
