We are seeking an experienced Backend AI Engineer with a strong focus on setting up and managing cloud infrastructure for AI-powered mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud platforms, backend development, and integrating AI models into scalable, robust systems. This role involves designing and implementing the backend architecture that supports our AI-driven mobile apps, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities :

- Cloud Infrastructure Setup : Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Leverage services like AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes for deploying AI models and managing backend services.

- Backend Development : Develop and maintain the backend systems that power our AI-driven mobile applications. Use technologies like Node.js, Python, and Java to build APIs, microservices, and serverless functions that integrate with AI models and mobile front-ends.

- AI Model Integration : Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to deploy and manage machine learning models in the cloud. Ensure that these models are seamlessly integrated into the mobile app backend, using tools like TensorFlow Serving, AWS SageMaker, or Google AI Platform.

- Performance Optimization : Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of backend systems and AI models. Implement caching strategies, load balancing, and auto-scaling to handle high volumes of user traffic and ensure a responsive user experience.

- Security and Compliance : Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure and backend systems, including data encryption, access control, and compliance with relevant regulations (e. g., GDPR, HIPAA).

- CI/CD and Automation : Set up continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automating the deployment of backend services and AI models. Use tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI to streamline development and deployment processes.

- Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with mobile developers, frontend engineers, and product managers to ensure backend systems meet the needs of the application and provide the necessary support for AI features.

Requirements :

- Experience : 5+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure. Proven experience in deploying and managing AI models in production environments.

- Technical Expertise : Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and backend development frameworks (Node.js, Python, Java). Experience with serverless architectures, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is essential.

- AI and ML Knowledge : Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and tools for serving AI models in production environments. Experience with RAGs, Mixture of Experts, and other AI deployment techniques is a plus.

- Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.

- Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex backend and cloud infrastructure issues.

- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.
