About the Team :

Bazaarvoice is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help build the future of product discovery. As part of the Content and Creators product unit, you will join a collaborative team building scalable, high-impact products used by millions of consumers and thousands of businesses globally.

Youll work alongside passionate engineers, designers, and product managers to solve complex technical and product challenges.

How Youll Make an Impact :

- Own complex software features end-to-endfrom concept and design to delivery and optimization

- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs supporting high-traffic consumer products

- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver new features and continuous improvements

- Drive technical decisions, architecture discussions, and best engineering practices

- Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability challenges

- Bring energy, creativity, and a problem-solving mindset to the team

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of learning and excellence

Must-Have Skills That Matter :

- 5+ years of professional software development experience

- Strong understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS

- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch

- Extensive experience building and refactoring Scala applications (or strong willingness to learn Scala)

- Experience with message queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar

- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.)

- Solid understanding of Agile, Kanban, or Lean development methodologies

- Experience using modern build and CI/CD tools such as Maven, Jenkins, GitHub (preferred)
