Job Description :
- Manage "end of day" Batch incidents in partnership with application development and operational support partners.
- Perform impact analysis of job abends and conduct root cause analysis.
- Manage overall delays to the IM critical milestones, handle failures, and notify downstream teams.
- Provide recovery instructions for job and/or batch abends (mainframe and distributed).
- Communicate on incidents greater than severity S5.
- Monitor critical milestone completion timelines and track unexplained deviations.
- Perform Batch ready for business (RFB) checkouts before the start of the business day.
- Setup Batch alerts for new onboardings and fine-tune existing ones.
- Monitor alerts related to abends, long-running jobs, and platform exceptions (space, CPU).
- Develop and maintain Batch run books and review audit trails.
- Provide leadership communication regarding Batch status and KPIs.
- Review job-level dependents, resource utilization, and CPU consumption patterns to optimize performance.
- Conduct Batch time dependency and white space analysis.
- Develop tool strategy, including adoption and in-house development of tools and dashboards.
- Manage new batch onboardings and process development.
- Plan and execute DR flips, DR/BCP, and isolation tests.
- Support Batch platform events like database, network, storage, and scheduler upgrades.
- Ensure data in Prod and BCP environments are in sync.
- Review temporary access requests and grant/revoke entitlements.
- Support the setup of integration and conversion environments for non-production.
- Handle Batch escalations and unresolved issues from within the team and external partners.
- Continuously identify and implement opportunities to drive better efficiencies.
