Job Summary :

Barco is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - DevOps to build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and software delivery processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with DevOps tools, infrastructure automation, containerization, monitoring, and production support.

The role involves working closely with software engineering, QA, and operations teams to improve release reliability, system scalability, and deployment efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and application deployment.

- Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, where applicable.

- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent technologies.

- Monitor application performance, infrastructure health, availability, and reliability.

- Troubleshoot build, deployment, networking, and production environment issues.

- Implement DevOps best practices to improve deployment frequency and reduce release failures.

- Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline software delivery workflows.

- Support cloud infrastructure and services on platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.

- Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident-management practices.

- Maintain security, access controls, and compliance standards across development and deployment environments.

- Document infrastructure configurations, operational procedures, and deployment processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 5 - 11 years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related roles.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and automated software delivery.

- Hands-on experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.

- Experience with Docker and containerized application deployments.

- Knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration technologies.

- Experience with scripting using Python, Bash, or similar languages.

- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.

- Working knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or another major cloud platform.

- Experience with Git and source-control workflows.

- Understanding of Linux systems, networking, troubleshooting, and system administration.

- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience supporting enterprise-grade software products and distributed systems.

- Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent.

- Familiarity with cloud security, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning.

- Experience with release management, incident response, and reliability improvement.

- Understanding of Agile development and collaboration across engineering teams.

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
