Role : Backup & Recovery Automation Engineer

Shift : 1 PM IST - 8 PM IST (EST Support)

We are looking for an experienced Backup & Recovery Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise backup platforms, automation, virtualization, and AWS cloud recovery workflows.

Role & responsibilities :

- Manage and support enterprise backup & recovery operations

- Work extensively on Dell EMC Networker and Avamar platforms

- Build and maintain production-grade automation scripts using Python

- Automate VM-level recovery operations in VMware vSphere environments

- Support AWS-based recovery workflows using EC2, EBS, FSx, AWS CLI, SDKs, and Terraform

- Execute backup validation, recovery testing, and end-user restore operations

- Support isolated/air-gapped recovery environments and standalone toolsets

- Participate in protected backup evaluation and backup scanning implementation

Required Skills :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Backup & Recovery

- Strong expertise in Dell EMC Networker and Avamar

- Strong Python scripting and automation experience

- VMware vSphere administration and recovery automation

- AWS services : EC2, EBS, FSx

- Experience with AWS CLI, SDKs, and Terraform

- Knowledge of NAS and NDMP-based restore workflows

Good to Have :

- NetApp filer architecture experience

- Experience working in air-gapped environments

- Exposure to recovery testing and cyber recovery operations

Key Deliverables :

- Evaluate protected backup solutions

- Implement backup scanning solutions

- Perform end-user recovery and rebuild testing
