Role: Founding Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js + AI-Native)

About the Role:

Founding Senior Backend Engineer to build the core backend platform from scratch for a seed-stage WealthTech product. You will own architecture, high-throughput APIs, distributed transaction workflows, and shipping end-to-end with clear service boundaries, idempotency, reliability, and ownership.

Mandatory Requirements:

Backend Engineering (7+ years):

- 7+ years hands-on backend engineering building production systems that stay fast and correct under load.

- Expert in TypeScript, Node.js, Go with Postgres, Redis, Kafka, AWS.

- Built real-time indexing, event-driven services, high-throughput APIs, distributed transaction workflows.

- Strong in microservices, event-driven architecture, scalable APIs, observability.

- Founding engineer experience on live products is a big plus.

B2C Product at Scale + FinTech/Trading:

- Must have built B2C products at scale (100K+ MAU / high transaction volume).

- FinTech / Trading / WealthTech / DeFi / Options / Perpetuals / RWA tokenization / Prediction markets / Clearing House settlement / Risk engine / Liquidation flows / Real-time indexers is highly preferred.

AI Product + AI-Native SDLC:

- Must have shipped LLM agentic workflows to end users.

- Hands-on with MCP tool calling, RAG pipelines, LangChain, LangGraph, multi-agent orchestration, vector DBs, embeddings, chunking, semantic search, structured outputs.

- Evaluation: Golden dataset creation, automated regression testing, agent behavior evaluation, precision/recall, confidence scoring, observability.

- AI-native SDLC: Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, etc.

Education:

- Mandatory: B.Tech from IITs (not NITs).

- Waived if: You have worked at Unicorn / $500M+ valuation B2C product companies OR Trading protocols moving real capital with Clearing/Risk/Liquidation at scale.
