Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, mentor, and coordinate the backend engineering team, ensuring effective execution and delivery.

- Design, develop, review, maintain, and optimize backend services, APIs, integrations, and supporting components.

- Own database architecture, SQL performance, indexing, ETL/data pipelines, and large-scale data processing.

- Manage Linux servers, Docker services, deployments, and production infrastructure.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, system failures, and service interruptions.

- Review pull requests and enforce engineering standards, coding practices, documentation, and code quality.

- Plan and coordinate feature development, releases, deployments, and technical execution across the backend function.

- Work closely with frontend, product, sales, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.

- Contribute hands-on to backend development, architecture decisions, debugging, optimization, and complex technical problem solving.

- Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, scalability, security, maintainability, and development processes.

Required Technical Skills:

- Languages: PHP, Python

- Database: MySQL, MariaDB, SQL performance, indexing, ETL/data pipelines

- Infrastructure: Linux administration, Docker, containerized services, deployment environments

- Backend: REST APIs, integrations, authentication, service architecture, debugging, root-cause analysis, performance tuning

- Tools: Git, standard software development and code review practices
