Backend Lead - Java

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.

- Architect and implement microservices-based solutions to support dynamic product requirements.

- Guide and mentor a team of backend developers, ensuring best coding practices, design patterns, and system performance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, QA, and product managers.

- Own the end-to-end backend lifecycle : requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.

- Manage CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools (ECS, EKS, etc.).

- Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.

- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and related patterns.

- Proficient with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.).

- Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).

- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

- Knowledge of security best practices in backend and cloud environments.

- Familiar with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (JIRA, Confluence).

- Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
