Role Overview :

We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong experience building and scaling complex, distributed backend systems in a product-driven environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep expertise in IMPLEMENTATION, microservices, event-driven architectures, and real-time systems.

This role requires someone who can independently design, build, and operate backend systems at scale and contributing to engineering excellence across the team.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems for large-scale products.

- Own end-to-end backend architecture, including design decisions, performance optimization, and system reliability.

- Build and manage microservices-based architectures with clear service boundaries and scalability considerations.

- Implement event-driven systems using messaging/streaming platforms such as Kafka.

- Design for high availability, redundancy, graceful degradation, and robust error handling.

- Ensure backend systems support real-time or near real-time data processing at scale.

- Define and enforce strong testing practices, including unit, integration, contract, and load testing.

- Review code for quality, performance, security, and maintainability.

- Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend teams, and DevOps to deliver high-impact features.

- Take ownership of production systems, including monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis.

- Drive best practices around architecture, coding standards, and system design.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 3-5 years of backend development experience, primarily in product-based companies.

- Proven experience working on complex backend architectures at scale.

- Strong expertise in :

1. Microservices architecture

2. Event-driven systems (Kafka or similar)

3. Distributed systems design

- Hands-on experience building systems with :

1. High throughput and low latency requirements

2. Redundancy, failover, and error-handling strategies

3. Real-time or streaming data workflows

- Strong backend programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, Go, Python, or Node.js.

- Deep understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling for scale.

- Solid experience with API design (REST/gRPC) and versioning strategies.

- Demonstrated testing discipline, including test strategy ownership and validation of test coverage.

- Experience with production-grade monitoring, logging, and alerting.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.

- Prior experience handling high-traffic, consumer-facing or B2B SaaS products.

- Experience with domain-driven design (DDD) or platform engineering.
