Backend Engineer - Node.js

We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer (Node.js) with proven experience in backend development and team leadership. Youll be responsible for driving multiple projects, ensuring high-quality delivery, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to technical excellence across the team.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and deliver multiple backend development projects with strong ownership and accountability.

- Gather technical requirements, define specifications, and collaborate with customers and stakeholders.

- Mentor junior engineers and actively support their professional growth and onboarding.

- Guide the team through architectural design and code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices.

- Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend solutions using Node.js and Express.js.

- Develop and maintain integrations between services, ensuring performance optimization.

- Write clean, maintainable code and unit tests aligned with quality standards.

- Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide third-level technical support.

- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and architects to design and maintain robust web applications.

- Contribute to improving processes, architectures, and engineering practices.

- Stay updated with industry trends and introduce modern tools and practices.

Required Skills :

- 5 to 7 years of professional backend development experience.

- Strong expertise in Node.js and frameworks like Express.js.

- Solid understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented architectures.

- Experience with multi-threaded systems, concurrency, and performance tuning.

- Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

- Excellent debugging, performance profiling, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and documentation abilities, with a focus on team alignment.

Good to Have :

- Experience leading small to mid-sized engineering teams.

- Exposure to microservices architecture and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
