Role Overview :

We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance server-side applications. You will work closely with our frontend, AI, and product teams to deliver robust backend systems powering next-generation products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases

- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security

- Integrate with third-party APIs, services, and cloud infrastructure

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems

Requirements :

- Experience with Airwallex APIs is preferred

- Relevant experience with tools like Cursor, Lovable, Vibe Coding, and Replit is a strong plus

- Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (Node.js, Python, Java, or Go)

- Experience with frameworks like Express.js, Django, or Spring Boot

- Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)

- Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a remote collaborative environment

Good to Have :

- Experience with microservices architecture

- Exposure to serverless computing and event-driven systems

- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
