About the Role :

We are hiring a hands-on Backend Engineer with strong design instincts and real-world experience building scalable, event-driven systems.

You will work on highly available backend services powered by Java 17+, Spring Boot, Kafka, and modern data stores.

The role requires a self-driven engineer who can independently deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.

- Architect, build, and optimize Kafka-based streaming applications ensuring high throughput & reliability.

- Design microservices and event-driven architectures aligned with industry standards.

- Collaborate with product, QA, and engineering teams to convert requirements into robust technical designs.

- Optimize performance, implement observability, and ensure system scalability & health.

- Develop complex SQL queries, database schemas, and integration workflows.

- Troubleshoot production issues, perform RCA, and deliver timely resolutions.

- Write clean, maintainable code with unit tests, conduct code reviews, and follow best engineering practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 36 years of backend development experience.

- Strong hands-on expertise in :

• Java 17 or above
• Spring Boot
• Kafka (streaming apps, consumers/producers, schemas, partitions, offsets, scaling strategies)
• Microservices architecture

- Solid understanding of data modeling, SQL, relational DBs, and query optimization.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Strong ownership mindset, problem-solving skills, and end-to-end delivery capability.

- Understanding of distributed systems, messaging patterns, and cloud-native principles.

Nice to Have:

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automation.

- Exposure to NoSQL, caching systems (Redis/Memcached), or event processing frameworks
