About the Role :

Were looking for an experienced Backend Engineer (Java) to join our dynamic product team and drive the development of Zinggs open-source and enterprise solutions. Youll work with cutting-edge technologies like Apache Spark, Snowpark, ML, and LLMs to build scalable, high-performance systems that delight users and solve complex data challenges.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop robust, maintainable, and scalable backend systems using Java-based Object-Oriented principles.

- Contribute to new feature development for Zinggs open-source and enterprise offerings.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues efficiently.

- Rapidly prototype and iterate based on user and customer feedback.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile, DevOps-oriented environment.

- Maintain strong code quality, test coverage, and software design best practices.

- Handle user queries, feedback, and contribute to open-source discussions.

Requirements :

- 26 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer (preferably 46 years).

- Strong hands-on expertise with Java 8+ and/or Scala.

- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

- Experience in distributed systems, cloud architecture, and Docker.

- Exposure to Apache Spark and Snowflake APIs.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux environments.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Ability to work independently and in fast-paced, collaborative teams.

- Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience in a Product-based company.

- Graduate/Postgraduate from a Tier-1 Engineering College.

- M.Tech in Computer Science or Mathematics.

- Familiarity with design patterns, modular architectures, and software engineering best practices.

- Open-source contributions are a plus.
