Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale robust backend systems. This role emphasizes clean, maintainable code, pragmatic engineering, and the use of AI-assisted development to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, leveraging AI-assisted coding tools where appropriate.

- Build and operate distributed systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions.

- Participate in system design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews.

- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to design schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity.

- Debug and resolve complex production issues and continuously improve system performance.

Required Qualifications :

- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.

- Strong proficiency in Go, Node.js, or Python (one or more).

- Solid understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.

- Proven experience building and deploying scalable, distributed systems.

- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Pragmatic, outcome-driven engineering mindset with a strong focus on problem-solving.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have :

- Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and related technologies such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

- Exposure to AI-powered systems or developer productivity tooling.
