We are looking for an exceptional backend engineer for our Personalization team.

The mandate for this team is to envision, develop, and manage the systems / workflows that enable Shutterfly to automatically generate products and to recommend them at the right time with the right content.

Responsibilities :

- Be able to build and deploy all components of the personalization system.

- Be able to make changes when needed for any component in the system.

- Help develop the next generation of Shutterfly product creation services.

- Analyze, design and develop scalable services and components in the AWS Cloud.

- Debug, maintain and improve the backend infrastructure running on AWS, enhancing its ability to process millions of images per day.

- Design and build flexible pipelines that can rapidly evolve to handle new technologies and modeling approaches.

Skills And Qualifications :

- 10 years industry experience with 5 more years as a backend engineer, writing in Python, Node.js or the like.

- Experience in cloud computing and/or AWS services (3+ years).

- Experience with big data technologies.

- Experience designing and implementing distributed and scalable systems.
