About the Role :

We are looking for a Python Backend Engineer with hands-on Generative AI experience to build scalable backend systems and intelligent applications. The role combines Python application development with LLM integration, RAG-based solutions, API development, and database engineering.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Backend Engineering :

- Develop and maintain reliable backend services using Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

- Design and implement scalable REST APIs for web and AI-powered applications.

- Build modular, maintainable, and secure backend components.

- Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver seamless end-to-end application workflows.

- Implement appropriate API authentication and authorization mechanisms.

2. Generative AI Development :

- Develop production-ready applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs).

- Integrate models such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, Hugging Face, or equivalent platforms into backend workflows.

- Build multi-step AI workflows using LangChain and LangGraph.

- Develop and improve Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions for enterprise use cases.

- Work with vector storage technologies such as Pinecone and PGVector.

- Evaluate application performance and improve response quality, reliability, and latency.

3. Database Engineering :

- Work with relational databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.

- Design data models and write efficient queries for application workloads.

- Optimize database interactions for performance and scalability.

4. Engineering Practices :

- Follow clean coding, modular design, testing, documentation, and version-control practices.

- Use Git-based development workflows and participate in code reviews.

- Work with deployment and automation workflows using tools such as Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab.

Required Skills :

- 3+ years of professional experience in Python application development (Django/FastAPI).

- 6+ months of practical production experience developing Generative AI applications.

- Strong command of REST API development and database optimization (PostgreSQL/MySQL).

- Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, and vector databases (Pinecone/PGVector).

- Familiarity with API security (OAuth2, JWT) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Education :

- Full-time B.E./B.Tech degree.

- Minimum 60% throughout in 10th, 12th, and B.E./B.Tech is preferred.

- Experience in an IT services or IT consulting environment is required.
