Role Overview :

As a Python Backend Developer / Python Lead + GenAI at Publicis Sapient, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust and scalable backend solutions, leveraging Python and Generative AI technologies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, data scientists, and product managers, to deliver innovative solutions that meet our clients' evolving needs. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the technical direction of our projects and mentoring junior developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs using Python frameworks like Django or Flask for various client projects.

- Integrate Generative AI models and techniques into backend systems to enhance functionality and create intelligent applications.

- Collaborate with front-end developers to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration between front-end and backend systems.

- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to industry best practices and coding standards to ensure maintainability and scalability.

- Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms like AWS, utilizing services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, and RDS.

- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and ensure adherence to architectural guidelines.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of backend systems.

- Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

- Contribute to the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Python development, Generative AI, and cloud computing, and share knowledge with the team.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated proficiency in Python programming, with a deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.

- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices using frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, including services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and API Gateway.

- Solid understanding of database technologies, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

- Familiarity with Generative AI models and techniques, including experience with libraries like TensorFlow or PyTorch.

- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
