Position : Backend Developer

Job Purpose :

As a Backend Developer, your primary purpose is to contribute to the development and maintenance of robust and scalable web applications. Additionally, your role involves problem-solving, technical design proposal, and troubleshooting to address business requirements effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

- Strong problem-solving aptitude with the ability to understand business requirements and propose feasible technical designs.

- Excellent understanding of web application development frameworks and server-side considerations to deliver performance at a scale.

- Minimum 2-5 years of experience developing secure and scalable REST APIs using node.js/express and related frameworks.

- Expert understanding of HTTP Protocol, REST APIs design, and related best practices.

- Ability to deep dive into relational and No-SQL databases including caching options, with the ability to troubleshoot and fix performance issues.

Skills Required :

- Ability to write cron jobs and ensure reliable execution.

- Sound understanding of asynchronous operations, callbacks, server-to-server communication.

- Knowledge of handling authentication and authorization, caching, and distributed operations.

Good to Have :

- Experience developing automated testing of all server-side components/APIs.

- Experience with using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, API gateway, SQL, Cloudfront, etc.
