Backend Developer - Node.js

About the Role :

We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js to join our growing development team. You will be responsible for building scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs that power web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, databases, and modern backend architecture using Node.js and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain server-side logic, APIs, and services using Node.js.

- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and designers to deliver robust, scalable web and mobile solutions.

- Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performing backend systems.

- Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.

- Perform code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.

- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.

- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 2-5 years of hands-on experience with Node.js in a backend development role.

- Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, Express.js, and API development.

- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

- Solid experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or other NoSQL/SQL databases.

- Familiarity with authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, etc.)

- Experience with version control systems like Git.

- Knowledge of best practices in backend security, performance tuning, and error handling.

- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD tools, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
