The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with deep technical expertise in backend technologies, distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native environments.

Experience working in a high-throughput system such as programmatic advertising, streaming, or media platforms is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Backend Development & Architecture :

- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and low-latency backend services using Java, Node.js, or C#/.NET Core.

- Architect and optimize microservices for real-time, high-load environments such as RTB bidding engines, ad serving platforms, or OTT delivery pipelines.

- Build distributed system components ensuring fault tolerance, high availability, and performance efficiency.

2. AdTech System Engineering :

- Work on systems related to RTB (Real-Time Bidding), SSP (Supply-Side Platform), DSP (Demand-Side Platform), targeting engines, campaign management, and impression tracking.

- Collaborate with product and data teams to build features for auction handling, ad decisioning, targeting, and programmatic buying/selling workflows.

- Optimize latency-critical pipelines crucial for auctions and ad delivery.

3. OTT & Media Platform Development :

- Contribute to backend systems that support OTT streaming, video delivery, content personalization, and media asset workflows.

- Integrate with video players, CDN services, and streaming protocols for seamless media experiences.

4. Cloud & DevOps Enablement :

- Develop and deploy applications on cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.

- Utilize containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless offerings for scalable deployments.

- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated build/test/deployment workflows.

5. Data & Messaging Systems :

- Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and distributed storage systems to support large-scale data operations.

- Implement and optimize messaging and streaming solutions like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar for real-time data flow.

6. Software Engineering Excellence :

- Follow and enforce best practices in coding standards, testing, code reviews, documentation, and agile development.

- Ensure backend services meet availability, security, and performance benchmarks.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience in high-load, distributed systems.

- Proficiency in backend languages: Java, Node.js, or C#/.NET Core.

- Experience with AWS or Google Cloud environments.

- Strong knowledge of microservices and serverless architectures.

- Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases and modern message queue systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

- Prior experience in AdTech (RTB, SSP, DSP) is mandatory.

- Experience with OTT applications and media platforms is required.

- Strong understanding of professional engineering practices: CI/CD, code reviews, testing, agile.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :

- Exposure to real-time analytics pipelines.

- Understanding of digital advertising standards (e.g., VAST, OpenRTB).

- Experience with performance profiling and latency optimization.

- Familiarity with event-driven architectures.
