About the Role :

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Azure PaaS Development Lead to drive our cloud-native application development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure PaaS services, combined with strong hands-on development skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Python. This is a leadership role requiring a balance of strategic technical direction, team leadership, and hands-on development.

As the Azure PaaS Development Lead, you will architect and build enterprise-scale solutions using Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and serverless technologies, while leading a team of talented engineers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor development teams in designing and implementing cloud-native applications using Azure PaaS.

- Develop Single Page Applications (SPAs) and dynamic web applications using React.js, Redux, and modern JavaScript UI libraries.

- Build and deploy serverless back-end routines using Azure Functions.

- Design and orchestrate RESTful APIs adhering to REST v3 standards, and manage them via Azure API Management.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams for deploying and monitoring apps in Azure environments.

- Ensure scalability, security, and performance of cloud-native applications.

- Conduct code reviews, ensure coding best practices, and mentor junior developers.

- Stay up to date with emerging Azure services and development frameworks.

- Communicate technical decisions, architecture, and strategy clearly with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Core Technical Skills :

- 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Azure Cloud Native (PaaS) services.

- Expertise in Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and serverless architecture.

- Strong front-end development skills using JavaScript/TypeScript, especially with :

1. React.js and Redux ecosystem.

2. UI component libraries and themeable UI frameworks.

3. Advanced proficiency in Python (v3.8+) with object-oriented design and reusable module development.

- Deep understanding of REST API design, API integration, and Azure API Management.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated deployments in Azure.

- Familiarity with security, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and data privacy best practices in cloud applications.

Leadership & Collaboration :

- 3+ years of experience in leading development teams and managing cloud projects.

- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with architects, QA, DevOps, and business teams.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.

- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is desirable.

- Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven systems is beneficial.
