We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer with strong proficiency in Azure Data Ingestion Services and Data Engineering to join our dynamic team.

As a key member of our data engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and ingestion processes, utilizing Azure services.

The ideal candidate will have 7-8 years of hands-on experience in data ingestion, be proactive in managing timelines, and show strong leadership capabilities in mentoring junior developers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Data Ingestion & Engineering : Own and drive Azure Data Engineering and Ingestion tasks as primary activities.

- Ownership & Planning : Take proactive ownership of work planning, effort estimation, and alignment with timelines.

- Collaboration : Work closely with the workstream lead to ensure the efficient execution of data engineering tasks.

- Mentorship : Act as a Senior Developer, guiding and mentoring junior developers to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Azure Services Expertise : Utilize and leverage Azure Data Services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and others to build and maintain robust data pipelines.

- Hands-on Development : Engage in hands-on development of end-to-end data pipelines, ETL processes, and data ingestion from various sources to Azure-based platforms.

- Optimization & Troubleshooting : Continuously monitor and optimize data workflows and troubleshoot any data pipeline failures.

Key Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 7-8 years of experience in data engineering with strong expertise in Azure Data Ingestion.

- Azure Knowledge : Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and other Azure data services.

- Data Engineering : Solid understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and data integration.

- Project Management : Ability to proactively plan, estimate efforts, and ensure that work is delivered according to timelines.

- Mentorship : Previous experience mentoring junior developers or team members.

- Problem Solving : Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude in identifying and resolving issues.

Additional Skills (Good to Have) :

- Familiarity with Azure SQL Database, Power BI, and Azure Machine Learning.

- Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.

- Knowledge of Big Data technologies, such as Hadoop or Spark.

Education : Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
