Role : Data Architecture

Key Responsibilities :

- Co-Design a Modern Data Platform : Work closely with our data engineering team to co-design a data platform that supports both application and reporting needs, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

- Data Architecture Design : Lead the design of the technical architecture for a modern data platform, aligning it with best practices for Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Azure Data Lake.

- Cost Optimization : Identify and implement optimizations to reduce costs across our Azure services, including deduplication and efficient data storage solutions.

- Azure Data Lake Improvements : Consolidate multiple data workspaces within Azure Data Lake for better management, performance, and cost-efficiency.

- Data Modeling : Assist in detailed data modeling at table and view granularity, ensuring data consistency and reliability.

- Data Source Consolidation : Streamline data sources to improve management, governance, and data quality, laying the foundation for future data initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Proven Experience : 8+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and other Azure services.

- Data Platform Expertise : Hands-on experience designing and implementing medium to large data platforms in Azure, covering both application and reporting requirements.

- Technical Leadership : Experience co-designing data architecture, working closely with internal teams to guide best practices and implementations.

- Azure Expertise : In-depth knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and other Azure cloud services.

- Cost Optimization : Demonstrated ability to optimize cloud services, reduce costs, and improve performance in large-scale data environments.

- Data Modeling : Strong expertise in data modeling at a detailed level, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data.

- Data Management & Governance : Experience in consolidating and managing multiple data sources and workspaces in Azure environments

Desired Skills & Certifications

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Data Engineer Associate.

- Experience with Databricks, Power BI, or other analytics tools in Azure.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.

- Familiarity with data security best practices in cloud environments.

- Strong understanding of SQL, Python, or Scala for data processing.
