Azure Cloud Architect

Description :

We are seeking a Azure Cloud Architect who can operate effectively in a complex, brownfield Azure environment. This role is highly hands-on and requires strong technical leadership to drive architecture cleanup, modernization, governance, and large-scale transformation initiatives. You will collaborate closely with developers, DBAs, application architects, and global teams to stabilize, organize, and evolve our cloud landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead architecture efforts across large, disorganized Azure environmentsresource cleanup, governance, tagging, rationalization, and documentation.

- Design and implement landing zones, Hub-Spoke/vWAN models, and secure connectivity patterns.

- Establish Azure Policies, RBAC frameworks, and cost-optimization standards.

- Drive Disaster Recovery initiatives, including Azure Backup, ASR, geo-redundancy, and dependency mapping.

- Modernize workloadssupport microservice migrations using Azure Container Apps and pipeline modernization from Azure DevOps to GitHub.

- Define and promote Terraform/Bicep IaC standards; build prototypes and reference architectures.

- Facilitate architecture workshops and produce clear, actionable documentation for engineering and operations teams.

- Communicate clearly with global teams, ensuring structured, jargon-free collaboration.

Must-Have Skills :

- Hands-on Azure expertise, specifically in brownfield environments (cleanup, governance enforcement, DR, architectural corrections).

- Strong landing zone and Hub-Spoke/vWAN design experience with Azure networking proficiency.

- Terraform or Bicep IaC implementation experience in environments with limited existing automation.

- Multi-cloud exposure (AWS/GCP) for informed and flexible Azure architectural decisions.

- Practical, hands-on execution mindsetprototyping, implementing, iterating (not just high-level design).

- Disaster Recovery design & implementation (Azure Backup, ASR, geo-redundancy).

- Experience with enterprise job schedulers such as Redwood RunMyJobs (preferred), Control-M, or Automic.

- Excellent communication skillsclear, structured, and conversational across global teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience modernizing workloads to Azure Container Apps or AKS.

- Familiarity with SQL job orchestration concepts.

- Strong experience collaborating with distributed/global teams.
