About the Role :
The Associate Business Information Management (BIM) will support data management, reporting, insights generation, and information governance activities across the organization.
The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to ensure data accuracy, availability, and meaningful insights for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
Data Management & Governance :
- Assist in maintaining enterprise data repositories, metadata, and master data. Support data quality checks, validation processes, and resolution of data issues.
- Document data flows, business rules, and data lineage for assigned domains.
Reporting & Analytics :
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or Qlik).
- Extract, transform, and analyze data to provide actionable business insights.
- Prepare periodic business performance reports, KPIs, and operational metrics.
Business Requirements & Collaboration :
- Gather and document business information needs for reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as IT, Product, and Operations to support data-driven initiatives.
- Support user training, report usage tracking, and adoption of BI tools.
Systems & Tools Support :
- Work with data platforms, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Assist in testing new data integrations, enhancements, and platform upgrades.
- Maintain and update data catalogues and BI documentation repositories.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Technical Skills :
- Strong knowledge of SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI / Tableau / Qlik).
- Understanding of data modelling concepts, relational databases, and data warehousing.
- Basic knowledge of ETL tools or data pipelines (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, etc.). Proficiency in Excel for data analysis.
- Business & Analytical Skills Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide insights.
- Strong documentation skills (BRD, data definitions, reports catalogue).
- Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related fields.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with Python/R for basic analytics is an advantage.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks (DAM A, DCAM, etc.) is beneficial.
