Axis My India - Solution Architect - Java/Node.js

The Solution Architect will lead the design, development, and delivery of Axis My Indias in-house application suite.

This role requires deep technical expertise in Java, Node.js, Microservices, and Power BI, along with strong project management and leadership skills.

The architect will oversee a team of 15+ developers, drive architectural decisions, and ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership :

- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures using Java, Node.js, and Microservices.

- Lead development of native Android apps and Power BI dashboards.

- Ensure architectural consistency and adherence to best practices.

- Guide technology selection and integration across systems.

Project Delivery & Execution :

- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle : planning, execution, and delivery.

- Oversee development team and ensure timely, quality deliverables.

- Implement DevOps and CI/CD practices for efficient deployment.

- Track KPIs, budgets, and timelines to ensure project success.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management :

- Collaborate with internal teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

- Manage external vendors and consultants to ensure alignment with project goals.

- Communicate project status, risks, and architecture decisions effectively.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement :

- Mentor and lead a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

- Drive continuous improvement in development processes and architectural standards.

- Promote Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.

- Guide development team on best practices and coding standards.

- Mentor team on architecture and troubleshoot complex issues.

- Ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management :

- Translate business needs into technical solutions.

- Present architecture plans and manage external partners.

- Communicate risks, progress, and decisions effectively.

Planning, QA & Risk Management :

- Maintain project plans, track milestones, and manage risks.

- Conduct reviews and enforce secure development practices.

- Ensure high-quality, tested, and compliant deliverables.

Process Improvement :

- Streamline workflows and boost development efficiency.

- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and learning.

Education and Experience :

- 7+ years in technical leadership/project management.

- Experience with Java, Node.js, Spring Boot, Power BI, MySQL, Android, and Apache Tomcat.

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.
