Summary

Lead design and delivery Python applications for AI agent development.

Own architecture, code quality, performance, and team delivery while mentoring engineers and driving best practices across cloud (AWS, Azure, others), CI/CD, observability, and agent-oriented AI tooling.

Key responsibilities :

- Lead a small-to-medium engineering team (510 engineers): plan sprints, prioritize work, run code reviews, mentor and grow engineers.

- Design and implement scalable, secure, maintainable backend services and APIs in Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI, or equivalent).

- Architect and operate cloud-native systems across AWS and Azure (compute, container orchestration, serverless, storage, networking, IAM). - Design, build, and maintain AI agents or agentized services (prompting strategies, orchestration, tool integration, safety/guardrails) where applicable.

- Define and own system architecture, microservices boundaries, data flows, and integration patterns with third?party services.

- Drive CI/CD, deployment automation, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/ARM/Bicep/CloudFormation), and release processes.

- Ensure production reliability: monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, runbooks, and post?mortems.

- Optimize performance, cost, and security of applications and cloud infrastructure.

- Collaborate with product, QA, security, data, and ML teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

- Establish coding standards, testing strategy (unit, integration, contract tests), and development lifecycle best practices.

- Evaluate new technologies and provide technical roadmaps and estimations.

Required qualifications :

- 4+ years software development experience with 2+ years in a lead/tech?lead role.

- Strong expertise in Python and production-grade frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI).

- Proven experience building cloud-native applications on AWS and Azure (services such as ECS/EKS, Lambda/Azure Functions, RDS/Azure SQL, S3/Blob Storage, API Gateway/Application Gateway, VPC/Virtual Network, IAM).

- Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS).

- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager).

- Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

- Strong background in designing RESTful/graph-based APIs, message-driven architectures (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and DB design (Postgres, MySQL, NoSQL).

- Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, Application Insights).

- Familiar with security best practices for cloud and application layers (encryption, secrets management, IAM least privilege).

- Excellent mentoring, communication, planning, and stakeholder-management skills.
