About the Role :
We are looking for a highly skilled AWS DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Cloud Infrastructure, Automation, DevOps Practices, and Data Engineering Platform Support.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, managing, and optimizing cloud-native infrastructure while supporting large-scale data engineering environments and mission-critical business applications.
This role requires a strong combination of AWS cloud expertise, infrastructure automation, CI/CD implementation, containerization, monitoring, and platform engineering capabilities.
The candidate will work closely with Data Engineering, Software Development, Cloud Operations, and Architecture teams to ensure reliable, scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments.
The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience managing enterprise-scale AWS environments while supporting modern data platforms, ETL pipelines, and cloud-native applications.
Key Responsibilities :
Cloud Infrastructure Management :
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Manage cloud resources across multiple AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, IAM, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, and related services.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
DevOps & Automation :
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
- Implement DevOps best practices across development and operational environments.
- Automate infrastructure management and operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Support release management, deployment automation, and environment provisioning.
Data Engineering Platform Support :
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to support data processing platforms and workflows.
- Maintain infrastructure supporting large-scale data pipelines and analytics platforms.
- Assist in managing batch processing, data ingestion, orchestration, and workflow automation environments.
- Ensure platform stability and performance for data-intensive workloads.
Infrastructure as Code & Configuration Management :
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and related automation tools.
- Standardize infrastructure deployment processes and cloud governance practices.
- Create reusable infrastructure modules and deployment frameworks.
- Ensure infrastructure consistency across development, testing, and production environments.
Containerization & Platform Engineering :
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Support orchestration, scaling, and lifecycle management of container workloads.
- Implement platform engineering best practices for cloud-native application deployment.
- Monitor cluster health, resource utilization, and application performance.
Monitoring, Security & Reliability :
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
- Ensure infrastructure compliance with organizational security standards and cloud security best practices.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution.
- Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity initiatives.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement :
- Work closely with Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Security, and Architecture teams.
- Participate in system design discussions and cloud architecture reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational workflows.
- Evaluate emerging DevOps and cloud technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 4 - 8.5 years of experience in AWS Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
- Expertise in Python scripting and automation.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Strong Linux Administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience supporting Data Engineering environments and large-scale data platforms.
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, and cloud operations best practices.
