AWS DevOps Engineer

Description :

The role requires hands-on experience with infrastructure automation, containerization, monitoring, cloud security, and deployment orchestration across enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure.

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment processes.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

- Manage cloud environments, deployments, and release management activities.

- Configure and maintain containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to streamline delivery processes.

- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization solutions.

- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and scalability of cloud platforms.

- Optimize cloud resource utilization and infrastructure costs.

- Implement DevSecOps practices and cloud security controls.

- Manage configuration management and deployment automation tools.

- Troubleshoot production issues, deployment failures, and infrastructure bottlenecks.

- Support infrastructure audits, compliance, and governance requirements.

- Develop technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.

- Participate in architecture discussions and cloud modernization initiatives.

- Ensure adherence to DevOps standards, automation practices, and operational excellence.

Required Skills & Expertise :

- 5-10 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as :

1. EC2

2. S3

3. Lambda

4. RDS

5. VPC

6. IAM

7. CloudWatch

8. Route 53

9. ECS/EKS

10. Auto Scaling

11. ELB/ALB

- Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or GitHub Actions.

- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.

- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.

- Experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.

- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or Datadog.

- Experience with version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket.

- Understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security concepts.

- Experience implementing DevSecOps and security best practices.

- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Preferred Skills :

- AWS Certification such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Solutions Architect.

- Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems.

- Knowledge of container security and Kubernetes security practices.

- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.

- Experience with SRE practices and incident management.

- Familiarity with cost optimization and FinOps practices.

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
