Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Practice Lead to drive the growth, strategy, delivery excellence, and capability development of our AWS Cloud practice. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in AWS cloud technologies, cloud transformation programs, solution architecture, presales, and team leadership. This role will be responsible for building cloud capabilities, driving customer engagements, managing delivery teams, and supporting business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Practice Leadership & Strategy :

- Define and execute the AWS Cloud practice roadmap aligned with organizational goals.

- Build and scale AWS cloud capabilities, accelerators, frameworks, and reusable assets.

- Drive practice growth through strategic planning, capability enhancement, and innovation initiatives.

- Establish best practices, governance standards, and delivery methodologies for AWS engagements.

- Manage practice P&L, utilization, resource planning, and competency development.

- Define and execute the AWS Cloud Practice strategy, roadmap, and growth plan aligned with business objectives.

- Develop and drive Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies, service offerings, accelerators, and industry-specific cloud solutions.

- Identify new market opportunities and collaborate with sales, alliances, and leadership teams to expand the AWS business portfolio.

- Build strategic partnerships with AWS and drive competency, funding, and co-sell initiatives.

2. Solution Architecture & Delivery :

- Lead architecture and design of enterprise-scale AWS cloud solutions.

- Provide technical leadership for cloud migration, modernization, and cloud-native transformation programs.

- Oversee successful delivery of AWS projects ensuring quality, security, scalability, and performance.

- Review solution designs and ensure adherence to AWS Well-Architected Framework.

- Support customers throughout cloud adoption journeys from assessment through implementation.

- Own end-to-end delivery governance for AWS cloud transformation, migration, modernization, and cloud-native programs.

- Provide architectural leadership for large-scale customer engagements, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions.

- Establish delivery frameworks, best practices, quality standards, and operational excellence across AWS engagements.

- Drive successful execution of projects by managing delivery teams, risks, escalations, customer expectations, and business outcomes.

3. Presales & Business Development :

- Partner with sales teams to identify and develop AWS cloud opportunities.

- Lead customer workshops, discovery sessions, assessments, and executive presentations.

- Create solution proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), effort estimations, and technical responses.

- Support RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs with solution design and pricing strategies.

- Develop relationships with AWS stakeholders and leverage AWS partner programs.

- Lead solutioning, architecture reviews, customer workshops, and executive-level discussions for strategic opportunities.

- Develop GTM collateral, solution blueprints, reference architectures, and value propositions for AWS offerings.

- Support revenue growth through proposal development, estimations, RFP responses, and strategic deal pursuits.

4. Team Leadership :

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of cloud architects, engineers, and consultants.

- Drive AWS certification programs and technical upskilling initiatives.

- Conduct architecture reviews, technical mentoring, and career development planning.

- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

5. Governance & Compliance :

- Establish cloud security, governance, compliance, and operational excellence standards.

- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

- Implement cloud cost optimization and FinOps best practices.

- Define monitoring, incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 12+ years of IT experience with 7+ years focused on AWS Cloud technologies.

- Strong expertise in AWS services including :

1. EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Route 53

2. ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway

3. CloudFormation, Terraform

4. CloudWatch, CloudTrail

5. AWS Organizations and Control Tower

- Experience leading large-scale cloud migration and modernization programs.

- Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and serverless technologies.

- Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation.

- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration platforms.

- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.

- Experience managing geographically distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional.

- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional.

- AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty.

- AWS Certified Security Specialty.

- Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure and/or Google Cloud).

- Experience working with AWS Partner Network (APN) programs and competency requirements.

- Exposure to FinOps, cloud governance, and enterprise security frameworks.
