AWS Architect

About the Role :

This role requires deep expertise in AWS architecture, DevOps practices, and cloud-native technologies, along with the ability to drive proactive problem-solving and handle complex, ambiguous environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Drive proactive identification and remediation of vulnerabilities, ensuring robust security posture

- Collaborate closely with DevOps and Operations teams to resolve critical production issues

- Prioritize and manage conflicting requirements based on business needs and urgency

- Lead architecture discussions and provide technical guidance across teams

- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation

- Optimize cloud environments for cost, performance, and reliability

- Ensure adherence to best practices in cloud security, networking, and governance

- Support automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps initiatives

- Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

Required Skills & Experience :

- Minimum 6+ years of experience in AWS architecture and solution design

- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in AWS implementation and engineering

- Deep expertise in AWS services, including (but not limited to) :

1. Compute: EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS

2. Storage: S3, EFS

3. Databases: RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift

4. Networking: VPC, load balancing, cloud networking

5. Data & Streaming: Kafka, Spark, Glue

6. Security: IAM, encryption, access controls

- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation / Terraform)

- Hands-on experience with Auto Scaling and high-availability architectures

- Experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

- Strong understanding of cloud security and vulnerability management

- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

- Exposure to distributed systems and microservices architecture

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools

- Strong scripting skills (Python, Shell, etc)
