What You'll Do :

The Senior People Analytics Data Engineer - will own workforce data transformation and modeling within our modern cloud data stack, enabling consistent, trusted decision-making across the People function.

Based remotely in India or from our Pune office (hybrid), you will build scalable, reusable workforce data models that convert HR and business data into reliable, structured datasets. Partnering closely with People leaders, you will standardize core workforce metrics and strengthen long-term data trust across dashboards and reporting layers.

Reporting to the Head of People Analytics, this role operates independently within a global SaaS environment and focuses on scalable transformation and modeling not infrastructure engineering or predictive data science.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be :

- You will own the end-to-end design and integrity of workforce data models, including dimensional structures, grain definition, and SCD logic.

- You will build and optimize transformation frameworks using dbt and advanced SQL within our cloud data warehouse.

- You will standardize and govern core People metrics, ensuring consistent definitions across dashboards and reporting layers.

- You will translate business requirements into scalable, reusable data models.

- You will implement and maintain testing, validation, and documentation practices to strengthen long-term data trust.

- You will proactively resolve metric inconsistencies and reduce reporting conflicts.

- You will partner directly with senior People stakeholders to drive clarity and alignment in workforce reporting.

What You'll Need to be Successful :

- You have 7+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Modeling, or related data roles.

- You hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

- You have strong expertise in advanced SQL (window functions, complex joins, CTE structure, performance optimization).

- You have hands-on experience with dbt and building scalable transformation layers.

- You have deep knowledge of dimensional modeling, including fact/dimension design and SCD logic.

- You have worked in a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred; BigQuery or Redshift acceptable).

- You understand core People metrics (headcount, attrition, workforce movement, compensation, diversity).

- You are comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders, translating business needs into structured data solutions.

- You have experience leveraging AI capabilities within cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake Cortex, LLM-assisted analytics, or AI-driven data validation) to enhance transformation of workflows and metric reliability.

- You have experience working in People Analytics or HR Analytics environments, and familiarity with Workday reporting or HCM data integration is beneficial.
