Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced AutoSys Administrator to manage and support enterprise job scheduling and workload automation environments across Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms. The role will be responsible for AutoSys administration, job scheduling, production monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades, access management, and automation while ensuring reliable and efficient batch processing.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, administer, and maintain AutoSys components including Application Server (AE), Web Control Center (WCC), Enterprise Event Manager (EEM), Control-M, and Remote Agents.

- Manage AutoSys environments across Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms.

- Design, create, and maintain automated job schedules using Job Information Language (JIL).

- Develop and manage box jobs, file watchers, job dependencies, conditions, calendars, and complex scheduling workflows.

- Monitor production scheduling environments and ensure timely execution of critical business jobs.

- Troubleshoot failed jobs, ABEND errors, scheduling issues, dependencies, and application-related failures and perform root-cause analysis.

- Manage and maintain Standard and Extended Calendars for fixed-date and rule-based scheduling requirements.

- Support AutoSys upgrades, migrations, patching, and environment maintenance.

- Perform Event Server and related database maintenance activities and validate system health.

- Manage user access and security policies through EEM in line with enterprise security standards.

- Execute administrative activities using AutoSys command-line utilities such as autorep, jil, sendevent, and autostatus.

- Develop automation scripts using Shell/Korn/Bash, Perl, or Python to improve administration and operational efficiency.

- Support incident, problem, and change management processes in accordance with ITIL practices.

- Maintain monitoring, operational procedures, runbooks, and technical documentation.

- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, database, and support teams to resolve scheduling and production issues.

Required Skills :

- 5 - 7 years of experience in AutoSys administration, workload automation, or enterprise job scheduling.

- Strong hands-on experience with AutoSys architecture, administration, configuration, and production support.

- Strong proficiency in JIL scripting and AutoSys scheduling concepts.

- Hands-on experience with box jobs, file watchers, job dependencies, conditions, and calendars.

- Strong knowledge of AutoSys utilities including autorep, jil, sendevent, and autostatus.

- Experience administering scheduling environments across Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.

- Strong troubleshooting and RCA skills for production job failures and scheduling issues.

- Hands-on scripting experience with Shell/Bash/Korn Shell, Perl, or Python.

- Working knowledge of Oracle or SQL Server for job auditing, monitoring, and backend validation.

- Experience with AutoSys upgrades, patching, migrations, and environment maintenance.

- Knowledge of EEM and access/security management.

- Working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Ability to work independently in a production support environment and handle critical scheduling issues.
