Automation Tester - Software Quality Assurance

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester with strong expertise in both mobile and web automation to join our QA team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks across Android, iOS, and web platforms, along with exposure to API, performance, and basic security testing. As part of our collaborative QA environment, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA peers to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, increase test coverage, and ensure smooth, high-quality releases.

Responsibilities :

- Build, enhance, and maintain scalable automation frameworks (UI, API, and mobile).

- Execute automated functional, regression, and smoke tests on real devices, simulators, and emulators.

- Develop and execute automated API tests using Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.

- Validate API payloads, schemas, authentication, and integration points.

- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

- Conduct performance and load testing using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or k6

- Perform basic security validations (authentication, authorisation, OWASP checks).

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define test coverage,

and ensure quality standards.

- Report, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

- 2+ years of professional experience in automation testing.

- Proficiency in Appium (Android & iOS) and Selenium WebDriver (Java/Python/C#).

- Strong understanding of automation frameworks (Page Object Model, BDD/TDD) and test design principles.

- Familiarity with TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and Git.

- Hands-on experience in API testing (Postman, RestAssured, Karate).

- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.

- Exposure to performance/load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, k6).

- Awareness of basic security testing principles.

- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in an Agile/Scrum environment.

- Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber or Behave.

- Knowledge of cloud-based device testing (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).

- Familiarity with Dockerized test execution.

- Understanding of test coverage metrics and quality gates.
