Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in test automation, framework development, and software quality assurance. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts, identifying defects, and ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of applications. The role involves close collaboration with development, QA, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web-based and application-based solutions.

- Build, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.

- Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot defects, working closely with development teams for resolution.

- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.

- Analyse test results, identify failure patterns, and prepare test execution reports.

- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.

- Participate in requirement reviews, test planning, and continuous improvement of testing processes.

- Ensure adequate test coverage, maintain automation scripts, and support timely releases.

Requirements:

- 5 - 8 years of experience in software testing, with strong hands-on experience in test automation.

- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation development.

- Strong experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.

- Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks, preferably using Page Object Model (POM) or similar design patterns.

- Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, and API testing.

- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.

- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira.

- Understanding of CI/CD tools and integration of automated tests into build and deployment pipelines.

- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Good analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, along with effective communication and collaboration abilities.
