We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated KDB Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support for our KDB+ based systems, ensuring their stability, performance, and availability. You will work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and implement enhancements. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our critical data infrastructure, directly impacting our ability to deliver timely and accurate data to our clients.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for KDB+ based systems, resolving incidents and fulfilling service requests within defined SLAs.

- Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues, implementing preventative measures to ensure system stability.

- Troubleshoot complex KDB+ related issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions.

- Collaborate with development teams to implement new features and enhancements, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

- Optimize KDB+ queries and database performance, improving data retrieval speeds and reducing resource consumption.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including runbooks, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides.

- Participate in on-call rotation, providing timely support for critical incidents outside of regular business hours.

- Automate routine tasks and processes, improving efficiency and reducing manual effort.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability in providing support for KDB+ based systems in a production environment.

- Proven expertise in KDB+ query language (Q) and database administration.

- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python).

- Experience with monitoring tools and techniques for KDB+ systems.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
