We are looking for an ambitious and skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our specialized AI/ML engineering team. This role is crucial for developing and deploying scalable, production-ready AI models and integrating them into core business systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Python, modern MLOps principles, and experience transforming prototypes into robust, high-performance applications.

Core Requirements - SDE-2 Backend + AI Engineer :

- Strong proficiency in Python for backend development (FastAPI / Flask / Django).

- Solid understanding of websockets, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed backend fundamentals.

- Hands-on experience integrating and consuming model inference APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, local models, etc.).

- Practical experience with agentic frameworks such as :

1. LangGraph

2. OpenAI Agents SDK

3. Google ADK (Agent Developer Kit)

- Expertise in tool calling : designing tools, schemas, multi-agent workflows, and handling structured outputs.

- Strong context engineering skills (retrieval strategies, prompt orchestration, token optimization, guardrails).

- Experience working with or building MCP (Model Context Protocol) tools/servers is a strong plus.

- Good backend fundamentals : SQL/NoSQL, caching, asynchronous processing, and performance debugging.

- Familiarity with system design and production-ready engineering practices.

- Experience with cloud deployment for AI agents is a plus (AWS/GCP/Azure).

- Strong communication skills and ability to own features end-to-end.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services relevant to ML (e.g., SageMaker, Vertex AI).

- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience in building and maintaining API services (e.g., FastAPI, Flask) to expose ML models for real-time inference.

- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).

- Familiarity with data versioning tools (DVC) and model serving frameworks.
