Associate Software Engineer - Java Technologies

Role Summary :

Key Responsibilities :

- Execute assigned development tasks under supervision while adhering to Nextuples Software Engineering best practices.

- Follow low-level design specifications and deliver clean, maintainable programming artifacts.

- Seek guidance proactively when encountering unfamiliar technical or functional challenges.

Technical Contribution :

- Develop, test, and debug software components primarily using Java.

- Apply sound analytical reasoning to understand requirements, identify edge cases, and solve

problems efficiently.

- Use basic information systems, development tools, and version control systems effectively.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Work closely with team leads and peers to deliver assigned tasks on time.

Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings by clearly communicating :

1. What was completed,

2. What will be worked on next, and

3. Any blockers or dependencies.

- Accurately articulate, paraphrase, and confirm understanding of functional and technical

requirements.

Work Complexity :

- Perform routine to moderately complex tasks in a structured environment.

- Analyze issues logically and escalate with clarity when problems fall outside standard procedures.

Professional & Business Skills :

- Maintain an organized, disciplined approach to development and documentation.

- Take ownership of assigned tasks and execute them with attention to detail.

- Actively identify personal skill gaps and work toward continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and aptitude for problem-solving.

- Basic knowledge of RDBMS or NoSQL databases.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong team orientation and ability to work effectively with a team lead.

- Bachelors degree in Engineering / Technology (4 years) or

- Masters degree in Computer Applications (MCA - 2 years).

Desirable Skills :

- High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.

- Demonstrated ownership and accountability for deliverables.

- Java Certified Professional

- React Certified Professional
